HOUSTON -- Multiphase Solutions Inc. (MSi) has completed integration and deployment of a subsea simulation system to model operation for the Perdido project in the Gulf of Mexico. MSi developed the Transient Engineering Simulator (TES) system and interfaced its physics into Shell’s Perdido Operator Training Simulator.

The system integrates all infrastructure from reservoir sand-face up to the topsides arrival vessels as well as portions of the topsides processing. It simulates Perdido's entire subsea system, which features an artificial lift system that uses subsea separation caissons with electric submersible pumps.

Shell Offshore operates Perdido on behalf of its joint venture partners Chevron USA and BP Exploration and Production.
