MSIS cleans Transocean rig tanks

MS Industrial Services (MSIS), has completed a tank-cleaning exercise on the Transocean 714 semisubmersible rig on behalf of the Global Energy Group.

INVERGORDON, UK -- MS Industrial Services (MSIS), has completed a tank-cleaning exercise on the Transocean 714 semisubmersible rig on behalf of the Global Energy Group.

The work was performed onboard the rig while it was berthed in Invergordon, northern Scotland. MSIS deployed a team of 10 personnel to clean a range of pontoon and deck tanks.

The company used specialist equipment to clean the rig’s ballast, base oil, potable water, and fuel tanks, and removed waste – via its fleet of vacuum tank vehicles – for subsequent disposed at its nearby licensed waste transfer station. The work took around three months to complete.
