Total awards Pazflor flare study

FG International Holland BV has won a flare tip handling study for the FPSO for Total’s Pazflor deepwater development offshore Angola.

EINDHOVEN, the Netherlands -- FG International Holland BV has won a flare tip handling study for the FPSO for Total’s Pazflor deepwater development offshore Angola.

The company, which claims to have 25 years experience in off- and onshore flare tip systems, will apply its latest in-house technology for this project, the “12 hours Lifting Arch Frame”.

In Pazflor’s case, the flare tip will be 127 m (416 ft) above the main deck of the newbuild 325 m x 61 m (1,066 x 200 ft) FPSO.

Recently, FG was awarded similar assignments for the Woodside Pluto and North Rankin B platforms off Northwest Australia, Total Ofon 2 off Nigeria, and Shell Gumusut-Kakap in Southeast Asia.
