STAVANGER, Norway – A new Roxar chemical injection valve from Emerson Process Management hits the market to target hydrate inhibition. Emerson says the Roxar valve gives precise control of flow and dosage of chemical hydrate inhibitors such as MEG.

The valve is touted as robust with 10,000 psi (69 MPa) pressure capacity at a water depth of 3,000 m (9,842 ft) and accurate as well as flexible and compact at 150 kg (331 lb) total weight and 60 kg (132 lb) weight in water. Emerson also says the valve can handle a contaminating fluid without subsea filtering and is ROV retrievable without special tools.
