Dockwise wins Goliat transport assignment

Hyundai Heavy Industries has contracted Dockwise to transport Eni Norge’s Goliat project platform from South Korea to the Norwegian Barents Sea.

BREDA, the Netherlands -- Hyundai Heavy Industries has contracted Dockwise to transport Eni Norge’s Goliat project platform from South Korea to the Norwegian Barents Sea.

The platform will be a cylindrical-shaped Sevan 1000 fully integrated FPSO, 112 m (367 ft) in diameter and 75 m (246 ft) high, and weighing 58,000 metric tons (63,934 tons). Dockwise will perform transportation, loading, and discharge from the HHI yard in Ulsan to Hammerfest, northern Norway, in 2013.

The company has also won a commission from Seadrill Offshore to transport, load, and discharge the newbuild jackup CJ70 from Singapore to Norway in 2011.

Later this year, Dockwise will transport the Ocean Scepter, a Diamond Offshore jackup, from the Gulf of Mexico to Brazil.
