Pemex calls on McDermott for wellhead platform

HOUSTON – Pemex Exploración y Producción has awarded a completion engineering, procurement, construction, load-out, and sea fastening contract to J. Ray McDermott for the Kuil-A wellhead platform in the Bay of Campeche.
J. Ray’s fabrication facility in Altamira, Mexico, will construct the approximately 4,000-metric ton (4,409 ton) four-leg jacket, piles, and two-level deck, including heli-deck.
The project is expected to be completed during 2Q 2011.
