Balmoral introduces new casing protection system

ABERDEEN, UK -- Balmoral Offshore Engineering has introduced Balmoral Casing Guard (BCG), a new casing protection system. The BCG consists of advanced syntactic foam elements with a pre-determined collapse performance within the casing annuli. The annular volume increase resulting from this foam collapse accommodates the thermal expansion of the trapped fluid and significantly reduces annular pressure buildup.
