ABERDEEN. UK -- BP has awarded Wood Group a $115-million contract for the Andrew area development in the central UK North Sea.
The project involves tieback of the Kinnoull reservoir to the Andrew platform, around 28 km (17 mi) distant, and the Lower Cretaceous reserves development located beneath the platform.
Wood Group’s two-year contract covers topsides engineering, procurement and construction on the platform, installation of a new 800-metric ton (882-ton) module, and extensive brownfield modifications.
A 150-strong Wood Group project management and engineering team is working to define the offshore work scope. Subsea specialist Wood Group Kenny is supporting work on the Kinnoull subsea tieback.
