BP contracts deepwater vessel WoS

Subsea 7 to provide subsea construction services to BP West of Shetland

BP has awarded Subsea 7 an $85 m-plus contract for subsea construction services, mainly on its fields West of Shetland. The scope will include supply of a deepwater construction vessel equipped with Hercules work class ROVs.

The vessel will be employed permanently between January 2007 and December 2008 on a variety of development and maintenance duties, including inspection, repair and maintenance, supported by a team with specialist knowledge of remote intervention work in harsh areas.
