IRWINDALE, California -- Falcon Electric has unveiled the SVR Pro series, a new solid-state voltage regulator (SVR) in a rackmount/tower design. In addition to continuously regenerating new, clean AC power, the new product protects power-sensitive equipment against wide spectrum of power-related problem, the company says.
The SVR Pro 1.5kVA, 2.2kVA and 3kVA units deliver regulated power in a lightweight package.
Unlike tap switching regulators that typically provide ±5 to 10% output regulation, the SVR removes damaging power pollution and assures a pure sinewave output with ± 2% voltage regulation, according to Falcon Electric.
The new units feature a wide input voltage window from 80 to 138Vac, as well as a .97 input Power Factor Correction (PFC) circuit that reduces input current and harmonics.
The SVR Pro incorporates advanced microprocessor technology. In addition, the units' LCD display provides users instantaneous line, load status, and operating parameters.
With a simple factory modification, the SVR units can also perform 50 Hertz frequency conversion for worldwide 230-volt applications. With the units' optional battery backup feature, the SVR Pro provides minutes to hours of battery backup power.
