New polymer liners for harsh downhole conditions

Western Falcon has announced a new high-performance seamless thermoplastic liner for downhole applications that combines tensile strength, chemical resistance, ductility, temperature capabilities, and resilience, according to the manufacturer.

HOUSTON -- Western Falcon has announced a new high-performance seamless thermoplastic liner for downhole applications that combines tensile strength, chemical resistance, ductility, temperature capabilities, and resilience, according to the manufacturer.

The Extremetube liner resists damage from artificial lift rod wear, wireline and slickline coiled tubing and other common downhole tools. The liner is made from VICTREX PEEK polymer.
