CAMBRIDGE, UK -- Camcon Technology has unveiled the Intelligent Gas Lift alpha unit product. The application enhances the recovery of oil from reservoirs by introducing gas injection management capabilities to improve extraction flow and extend uninterrupted oil production periods, the company says.
Camcon's Intelligent Gas Lift configuration constantly monitors the well's flow conditions and adapts to fluctuating parameters such as pressure, flow rate, and temperature. Once incorporated within the inner tubing of the wellbore, multiple valve combinations modify bubble size and frequency so that valves don't have to be replaced and the oil extraction process can be continued without interruption.
The beta version of the product, which is currently in development, will undergo live oil well production tests at the end of the year.
