Tideland Signal supplies Al Shaheen field warning systems

SUSSEX, UK -- Tideland Signal has supplied warning systems to Maersk Oil for the block 5 package 14 project in the Al Shaheen field 180 km (112 mi) north of Doha on the eastern coast of Qatar.
The project comprises two new offshore platforms (HA and HB), a flare platform (1A), and interconnecting bridge (HA-HB). Each platform will be marked by two clear Tideland ML-300-EX primary lanterns with a range of 10 nautical miles and three red ML-300-EX secondary lanterns with a range of 3 to 4 nautical miles, together with two AB-68-EX fog signals, control panel, batteries, and battery charger. In addition, Tideland is supplying a total of nine red aeronautical obstruction lights.
Tideland's ML-300 lantern features a one-piece acrylic Fresnel lens capable of achieving up to 19,800 candela and a range of 18 nautical miles. In this application, both the primary and secondary lanterns are equipped with Tideland's LC6-EX flasher/lampchanger.
