EDINBURGH, UK -- SeeByte has released SeeTrack Offshore V.2.2 for Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) Dynamic Positioning (DP).

SeeTrack Offshore is compatible with all standard ROV systems and can be retro-fitted to operational units that are fitted with a doppler and a heading reference system. Pilots using ROVs equipped with SeeTrack Offshore will be able to hold position and heading at the touch of a button, change the position and heading using a simple point-and-click mouse interface, use the ROV joystick intuitively without having to consider currents, and tether effects and cruise at constant speed and heading, the company says.

SeeTrack Offshore V2.2 is compatible with the new Tracking Module. The Tracking Module transforms SeeTrack Offshore by extending the systems capabilities. With the Tracking Module on board the ROV can also be made to hold station relative to vertical structures, like risers and anchor chains, making vertical inspections easy, the company says.

Every unit of SeeTrack Offshore V2.2 comes with the Survey Module. The Survey Module allows the user to pre-plan a mission with waypoint and holding patterns, the company says.

SeeByte has installed the latest version of its SeeTrack Offshore product for ROV Dynamic Positioning (DP) on the Hercules 135 ROV aboard Subsea 7'sKommandor.
