ST HELENS, UK -- Showers & Eyebaths Services has developed an extension to its arctic emergency tank shower unit that provides a heated changing facility, eight of which are being retro fitted to tank showers already in place in oil fields in Kazakhstan.

“Kazakhstan’s climate is considered severe with temperatures often reaching down to -45° C (-49° F),” says Craig Yates, MD of Showers & Eyebaths. “Our special arctic shower units are designed to withstand such extreme conditions but we needed to go one step further to protect a user both during and after decontamination. The changing units are heated inside, have spring-loaded doors, for quick and immediate access into the shower area, and are lit both inside.”
