ClampOn to supply Isabela field subsea sand monitors

BERGEN, Norway -- BP has awarded ClampOn a contract to supply subsea sand monitors and pig detectors for the Isabela field in the Gulf of Mexico. The development, in 6,500 ft (1,980 m) of water, is expected to come onstream in 2011 via tieback to the NaKika field.
ClampOn’s acoustic sensors feature atmospehric and high pressure chambers, pipe contact verification, electronic beam welding, and dual independent electronics.
