HOUSTON -- INTEGRA has added The Claw, a 40,000-ton (36,287-metric ton) capacity Grapple, to its decommissioning service line.
The CLAW is designed to pick up debris from the ocean floor without slings, the company says. An ROV can also be used to position The CLAW while keeping personnel at a safe distance. It is operated by a power unit on the vessel and is connected by umbilical hoses.
The CLAW is rated to pick up pipe or casing up to 48-in. (122-cm) diameter.
