North Shore Supply Company (NSSCO) has expanded its range of processing services with the recent installation of a new steel plate roll capable of delivering product up to 6-in. (15-cm) thick and 120-in. (3.5-cm) wide.

BAYTOWN, Texas-- North Shore Supply Company (NSSCO) has expanded its range of processing services with the recent installation of a new steel plate roll capable of delivering product up to 6-in. (15-cm) thick and 120-in. (3.5-cm) wide. The roll delivers customized steel for a number of products used in offshore exploration and production, including pressure vessels, king posts for cranes, collars and fixtures for coupling platform legs, and components for stabilizing thruster positioning units. NSSCO says this one-of-a-kind roll allows it deliver products faster, with a wider inside diameter.
NSSCO’s plate processing plant, positioned on Greens Bayou, has 50 acres with plate inventory lay down space and eight overhead cranes with capacity ranging from 7 to 30 tons (6.4 to 27 metric tons). The plant also is equipped for in-house flame and plasma cutting of carbon, stainless steel, and alloy steel plates from 0.375- to 14-in. (1- to 36-cm) thick.
