Sperry Marine to supply navigation systems for Brazil-bound vessels

Companhia Brasileira de Offshore (CBO) has awarded Northrop Grumman’s Sperry Marine business unit contracts to supply bridge navigation systems for four newbuild vessels.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virginia -- Companhia Brasileira de Offshore (CBO) has awarded Northrop Grumman’s Sperry Marine business unit contracts to supply bridge navigation systems for four newbuild vessels.
The four multipurpose platform supply vessels will be built at the Estaleiro Aliança shipyard near Rio de Janeiro. Once complete the vessel will be on long-term charters with Petrobras.
The scope of supply includes radars, autopilot, speed and heading sensors, and other navigation systems. Sperry Marine’s sales and service representative in Brazil, Vision Marine, will be responsible for installation, commissioning, and servicing the equipment on the vessels.
