HELSINKI, Finland -- MacGREGOR is delivering the world's first subsea knuckle-jib crane equipped with a system for fiber rope handling. The crane will be installed on the subsea vessel Havila Phoenix.
The 250-metric ton (276-ton) Hydramarine active heave-compensated (AHC) offshore crane is designed with a 250-metric ton/3,000 m (276-ton/9,843 ft) single-line winch and is prepared for a 250-metric ton (276-ton) single-line fiber rope.
The new generation of MacGREGOR Hydramarine subsea technology has an operational capacity of up to 600 metric tons (661 tons) at depths down to 10,000 m (32,808 ft).
