Golar orders compressor for Dubai FSRU

WINTERTHUR, Switzerland -- Golar LNG Ltd. has ordered the first Laby-GI compressor from Burckhardt Compression for a floating storage and regasification unit in Dubai.
The Laby-GI is scheduled for 3Q 2009 delivery and early-2010 commissioning.
TheGolar Freeze LNG carrier will be converted to an FSRU, which will deliver regasified LNG to Dubai Supply Authority (DUSUP) for further delivery into the Dubai gas network. Shell, as DUSUP's adviser for the project, has worked with Golar LNG Ltd, in the development of this project.
The Laby-GI is used as a fuel gas compressor to inject natural gas into the ME-GI dual fuel two stroke diesel engine from MAN Diesel.
