ABERDEEN -- AGR Petroleum Services and Vallourec and Mannesmann (V&M) have completed the first subsea well in the UKCS as part of their multi-client multi-rig campaigns.

Using theEnsco 80 jackup drilling rig, AGR used V&M's Cleanwell product to allow tubing to be run without pipe dope compound being applied to connections. In total, over 11,500 ft (3,505 m) of tubulars were run by Weatherford Tubular Running Services with no rejects or back-outs recorded.

According to the companies, the project also achieved:
- Zero pipe dope discharge to environment
- Rreduced preparation and make-up time on the rig
- No plugging of sand screens due to pipe dope
- Increased efficiency during wireline operations.
