WALSALL, UK -- Hydratight, manufacturer of MORGRIP weldless pipeline connectors, has received type approval from the Republic of Kazakhstan for the topside and subsea MORGRIP product range.
Hydratight has operations in Baku, Azerbaijan and Atyrau, Kazakhstan. While Azerbaijan accepts the established industry standards, Kazakhstan has its own internal systems. MORGRIP type approval from Kazakhstan State System of Technical Regulation was essential if it was to be considered within the Kazakhstan-based oil and gas industry.
Type approval was granted for topside and sub-sea product ranges in 150, 2000, 3000 Series and Quickflange MOGRIP Connectors for pipe sizes from 0.5 to 42 in (1 to 107 cm) and in all pressure ratings up to an ASME class rating of 2500.
