Wood group awarded Venezuela wellhead equipment contract

HOUSTON -- Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) has awarded Wood Group Amesa a five-year, $200 million contract to provide wellhead equipment for use in Venezuela's onshore and offshore fields.

As part of the agreement, WG Amesa will manufacture and install low-pressure wellheads and christmas trees used in three different production field applications, including natural flow, artificial lift, and steam injection. In addition, the company will provide maintenance for the equipment and manage an inventory of small parts.
