Thrustmaster to break ground on new factory

Thrustmaster of Texas Inc. is breaking ground on a new 60 acre, 200,000 sq ft (18,581 sq m) factory near it's current location in Houston, Texas.

HOUSTON -- Thrustmaster of Texas Inc. is breaking ground on a new 60 acre, 200,000 sq ft (18,581 sq m) factory near it's current location in Houston, Texas. The new factory is scheduled to open by year-end 2008.

With overhead cranes up to 100-ton (91-metric ton) capacity, the new facility will produce thrusters in the range of 100 to 6,000 hp (75 to 4,500 kW) for marine transportation, offshore industries, and military craft applications.

Thrustmaster says it received new orders in excess of $100 million in 2007; $75 million is for export outside the US.http://www.thrustmastertexas.com
