BJERRINGBRO, Denmark -- Frigstad Offshore is installing a Samson vaCut cuttings transfer system on the ultra deepwater rig Scarabeo 9. The rig is currently under construction in Yantai Raffles Shipyard, China.
Samson vaCut cutting transfer system is a newly developed system using air to transport cuttings from shaker outlets to transport containers. The airflow is created by a vacuum pump, which gives a negative pressure in the pipe system.
