HOUSTON -- Tideland Signal has unveiled the world's first 10-mi (16-km) lantern using less than 8 watts: the ML-300 Fresnel lens with MaxiHALO-60 EFF LED light source.

The new product is impervious to shock and vibration and comes equipped with standard features including lightning protection, temperature compensated control LED drive circuits, user selectable power settings, and reverse polarity protection.
