HELSINKI, Finland -- MacGREGOR has received its single biggest order for hose handling and provision cranes from Jiangsu Rongsheng Shipbuilding Co. The delivery consists of two hose handling and two provision cranes for 30 tankers, 156,000 dwt.

Ten tankers on order are for Geden, 10 for Frontline, six for Novoship, and four for Interorient. MacGREGOR will install two pairs of cranes for all 30 tankers.

"We have been in discussions with this shipyard for a long time about the separate shipowners' projects, and we ended up with all 30 tankers," sales manager Anders Berencsy said. "This order from Rongsheng proves the good cooperation between our two companies as we already have contracts for eight sister vessels bringing the total number of cranes to 152."

The cranes will be manufactured in China by a MacGREGOR partner plant and delivered between 2008 and 2010.
