ABERDEEN, UK -- Aker Solutions in Aberdeen has developed Coabis Express, a scaled-down version of its integrity, inspection, and corrosion management software.
Coabis, which the company says is used by 90% of North Sea operators, provides a turnkey software solution for subsea and topside operations. It is designed to streamline planning, reporting, and tracking of structural inspection programs, thereby improving data transparency and operating cost efficiencies.
Coabis Express is a more economical condensed version of the package that provides the key functions and is better suited to smaller, independent operators and others in developing regions.
“Coabis is already in use with operators in North America, Canada, New Zealand, Indonesia, and West Africa, however there is huge scope for continued growth as integrity management plays an increasingly important role for operators around the globe,” said Jonathan White, vice president of business development at Aker Solutions.
“It provides the tools to plan, execute and report on integrity related activities for a range of sectors. While the bulk of our customers to date have been in the subsea sector, we are seeing increased uptake from companies involved in shipping, offshore wind, pipelines, and topside activities.”
Coabis Express includes full asset inventory management, online logging and anomaly tracking facilities, and workpack planning and editing.
Standard features include a digital video interface, hardcopy datasheets and a drag/drop re-ordering system for components. The system can be tailored to meet individual needs by using client-specific procedure and coding formats.
