POOLE, UK -- Brazilian shipyard Engevix Construcões Oceânicas has contracted Hamworthy to supply electrically-driven cargo pump systems for eight new FPSOs. The equipment is due to be delivered during 2012-2014.

Each of the FPSOs will have oil storage capacity of 1.6 MMbbl. All will likely be assigned to field developments in the pre-salt area of Santos basin.

In each case, Hamworthy will deliver 12 cargo pumps, two slop pumps, two ballast pumps, and two emergency pumps, including switchboards and electric motors

Earlier this year, Gusto specified Hamworthy’s seawater lift pumps and electric fire pumps for installation on board theCidade de Paraty FPSO, scheduled for delivery to Brazilian waters in 2013.
