STAVANGER, Norway – Blaze Manufacturing Solutions has introduced FLEX-FLO, a modular system for construction of flexible piping on offshore installations at ONS 2016.
The company describes this as an enhancement of its Flameshield 300 flexible deluge pipework product, which has been installed on numerous platforms.
It has been developed primarily for firewater deluge in asset life extension (ALE) and decommissioning projects, and for newbuild or existingoil and gas production, chemical processing, vessels, drilling and well test heat shielding applications.
Blaze claims FLEX-FLO is quick to install, does not require a production shutdown to construct, and provides flexibility when alterations are required.
The company has also announced a new partnership with Norwegian company Vinje Industri to supply fire protection engineering and flexible pipe solutions to the Norwegian sector and elsewhere in theNorth Sea.
Vinje Industri, established in 2000, is a specialist provider of mechanical and hydraulic assembly and maintenance. It performs construction assignments within all mechanical disciplines, in addition to hydraulic assemblies offshore and onshore, and has a large range of bending pipe equipment and hydraulic tools for hire.
The new partners aim to bring increased safety and reduced cost compared to alternative pipework systems currently available in Norway.
Blaze Manufacturing Solutions is exhibiting in the Scottish Pavilion in Hall 5 stand 5310.
