(Gulf of Mexico)-Oceaneering successfully completed a 132-day level I inspection program, which is believed to be the largest of its type ever performed, the company says.

Oceaneering inspection crews visually examined the coatings and structural integrity of 1531 GoM platforms, including over 5,000 risers for 21 oil and gas customers.

Crews aboard these two vessels entered project data offshore into Oceaneering's computer aided inspection reports database. Project statistics included 105,000 safe man-hours, over 22,000 cathodic protection readings and nearly 42,000 photographs documenting the work.

Crews are now inspecting damage related to Hurricane Katrina.
