Instrumentation manifolds
Swagelok has developed a line of two, three, and five valve instrumentation manifolds backed by lifetime warranties. The manifolds provide shorter internal flow paths and reduce dead volume and residual buildup. The paths are free from internal burrs, irregularities, and seal inclusions which can cause leakage and unnecessary process energy.
Deepwater map sets
Fugro Geoservices is making available deepwater map sets in hard copy and digitally on a CD to show seafloor conditions in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. The map sets, known as DeepLook 2000 feature Garden Banks, Green Canyon/Ewing Bank, Mississippi Canyon/Viosca Knoll, Walker Ridge, and Atwater Valley leasing areas. The maps are designed to assist in field development, seafloor rendering, water depth, seafloor slope gradient, and seafloor features.
Piping leak sealing
Furmanite Worldwide has introduced FurmaSealtrademark, the high pressure self sealing repair clamp, designed to perform leak repairs on pipelines and encapsulate leaking valves, flanges, and other components - onshore and offshore. The products utilize a perimeter elastomer sealing system.
Inline vortex flowmeter
Emco Engineering Measurement has developed an inline vortex flowmeter designed for use in gas, steam, and liquid applications. Features include HART protocol microprocessor based electronics, EZ Logic user interface, self diagnostics, a built-in calibrator, sensor removable under-full flow, wide temperature range flow accommodation.
Pressure transmitter
Scan-Sense of Norway has developed the PS-2010 pressure transmitter. The PS-2010 is part of the PS-2000 Series and offers a very high accuracy of within 0.05% and a working temperature range between -20 and +80 degrees Centigrade. The transmitter has been developed specifically for the harshest of environments. The PS-2010 also holds the EXM classification which avoids the need for barriers from Zone 1 and upwards.
Oil-water separator
Gardner Denver has re-designed the Eliminatortrademark II oil water separator. The gravitational unit includes sediment/ pre-absorption chambers, pop up flow indicators, sample test jars, translucent oil containers, and a wide carbon bed. It provides better separation capabilities with less oil carryover.
Explosion-proof heater
Ruffneck Heaters has developed a new line of explosion-proof convection air heaters designed for rugged industrial hazardous locations. The ProVectorRegistered is available in 36 models ranging from 1.2 kW to 7.6 kW.
Acidizing packer
Baker Oil Tools has developed a brochure outlining its ISAPtrademark Inflatable Straddle Acidizing Packer System. The system provides pinpoint accuracy for the stimulation of con ventional, horizontal, and multilateral stimulation treatments, and eliminates having to pull the completion out of the borehole.
Subsea pipeline connections
Oil States HydroTech has created a brochure outlining it's diver-assisted and diverless equipment for subsea pipeline connections, repair, modification, and recovery. The brochure provides details on 12 different tools and systems used for diver-assistance and four systems for diverless equipment.
Remote instrument monitoring
Frank W. Murphy Manufacturing has developed a remote monitor for instruments through a liaison with ORBCOMM. The new satellite communication system will be able to provide protection of equipment through alarms and automatic shutdown of all engine functions.
Solids control solutions
Fluid Systems Inc. has created a brochure detailing the quality control, simplicity, economy, versatility, and reliability built into its solids control systems and equipment components. The brochure features shakers, mud cleaners, de-sanders, centrifuges, conveyors, pumps, pressure washers, and screens.
Welding symbol chart
The American Welding Society has developed a new welding symbol chart to stop welders from encountering unknown or unclear welding symbols while in the middle of a job. The reference tool can be used anywhere. The chart is UV coated and made for heavy duty use. It is available in 11in. by 17 in. version or 22 in. by 28 in. for wall hanging.
Solids control solutions
Kem Tron Technologies has developed a brochure on equipment to eliminate liquid waste at drilling sites. The brochure contains sections on sludge and fluid de-watering systems, centrifuges, hydrocyclones, and multifunctional linear motion shakers. Specifications and capabilities are shown for the individual systems.
Anti-fouling coating
Global Corrosion Technologies, Inc (Houston) introduced SNOKOTERegistered AF, which has both anti-fouling and anti-corrosion capabilities. It was developed for geophysical streamers and related equipment, mooring lines, channel markers, and buoys. The product is a semi-synthetic, solid-state hydrocarbon-based compound that is non-toxic, non-flammable, and contains no volatile organic compounds.
Clamp-on sensors
ClampOn introduces its line of clamp-on ultrasonic intelligent sensors that can be mounted on the outside of a pipeline. The detector is easy to install, remove, and relocate, even when the pipeline is in operation. The detector can pick the slightest motion of sand or pigs in the line and is the smallest such instrument on the market.
