Offshore fabrication specialist Rosetti Marino and construction services group Pivot GIS have agreed to jointly establish a new company in Nigeria.

Rosetti Pivot will combine their capabilities to offer local design, fabrication, manufacture, and supply of platforms and systems for the oil and gas sector, and design and construction of ships to service offshore platforms. The joint venture has also committed to provide training and development opportunities to Nigerian staff, in accordance with the Nigerian Content Act.

In recent years Rosetti Marino has built topsides and jackets at its yards in Ravenna on the Adriatic coast for the Jasmine and West Franklin projects in the UK North Sea. The company has also supplied small platforms for field developments offshore Croatia and Côte d'Ivoire.

Pivot GIS is a member of the Nigerian Honeywell Group which already provides services in the country, ranging from fabrication of decks, modules, pipework and skid packages to tank cleaning, blasting, painting and offshore corrosion control, and supply of offshore maintenance/construction crews.
