KRISTIANSAND, NorwaySefine Shipyard in Turkey has contracted Techano Oceanlift to supply an offshore crane for a newbuild subsea IMR/survey vessel, under an EUR6.5-million ($7.23-million) contract.

The 150-metric ton capacity knuckle boom crane, to be delivered in 2025, will be designed for both subsea construction and topside lifting operations. It will have an active heave compensated winch with 3,000-m wire for subsea construction tasks, and Intellilift control/motion compensating systems.

Techano Oceanlift’s newest offshore / subsea cranes can be electrified, including the winch, to re-deliver power back to the vessel. They can also feature a tool that enables 3D-compensated topside lifts.
