KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia  Shell Eastern Petroleum has terminated an EPCI contract awarded earlier this year to Sapura Offshore’s Singapore branch.

This related to the single-buoy mooring (SBM) Pipeline Rejuvenation Phase II Project. The proposed repair scope had covered the SBM, which imports crude from visiting tankers, and the 5.2-km subsea pipeline connecting the system to Shell’s Bukom refinery in Singapore.

Sapura Offshore says its Singapore branch has sought advice from its external counsel on the cancellation and will continue to do so.
