Petronas’ technology division enters sand management collaboration

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Petronas Technology Ventures has signed a memorandum of understanding with solids separation specialist FourPhase to develop sand management technologies for the oil and gas sector.

The companies will investigate solutions that could increase crude oil production, mitigate erosion, ensure process safety and reduce downtime.

Since 2018, FourPhase and Petronas have been jointly developing an autonomous bulk desander system for an unmanned installation.
