LEIDEN, the Netherlands — Woodside Energy has awarded Heerema Marine Contractors a decommissioning contract, covering the engineering, preparation, removal and transport of the Nganhurra riser turret mooring system offshore Western Australia.

The work involves removing the riser turret mooring from the Enfield Field, 52 km northwest of Exmouth, by lifting the structure in one piece onto a barge and then transporting it to Henderson or another Australian port for dismantling/recycling/reuse.
