    Heerema accepts recycled slings for offshore lifting program

    Offshore staff

    SNEEK, the Netherlands — Lankhorst Ropes is supplying Heerema Marine Contractors with recycled slings for an offshore lifting project.

    The LankoForce HL slings were manufactured with Dyneema SK78 fiber produced using plastic waste as a feedstock. They will be attached to a four-point lifting frame for the lifting project.

    According to Lankhorst Ropes, the recycled-based fiber offers the same performance as conventional and bio-based Dyneema SK78 fiber.
