DEME acquired Norwegian offshore wind transport and installation contractor Havfram for about Eur900 million ($1.019 billion) on May 2.
The transaction is intended to strengthen DEME’s positioning in turbine and foundation installations.
Havfram has commissioned two next-generation wind turbine installation vessels that should be delivered during the fourth quarter of this year and early next year. Both are already contracted for work during the second half of 2026.
The company’s backlog of orders, valued at Eur600 million ($680 million), includes construction support for eight large offshore wind farm developments across Europe during 2026-2030.
Havfram will continue to operate out of Oslo, with the company and personnel integrated into DEME’s Offshore Energy division under the DEME brand name.
