HVALSTAD, Norway – BW Offshore has contracted PG Flow Solutions to supply water booster pumps for a life extension project of the FPSOPolvo offshore Brazil.
PG Flow Solutions is responsible for engineering, procurement, assembly of a pump skid and commissioning of two produced water booster pumps in super duplex materials, with 150-kW electrical motors, variable-frequency drives and pressurized seal systems.
The company will manage the project from its facility in Sande, Vestfold, Norway.
BW Offshore operates the FPSO on the Polvo field forPetroRio, at a location roughly 100 km (62 mi) offshore Rio de Janeiro.
The vessel can handle 90,000 b/d of oil production, with a storage capacity of 1.6 MMbbl.
