LONDON – Discover Exploration has acquired Hansa Hydrocarbons from an affiliate of Avista Capital Holdings.
Hansa is a privately-owned upstream oil and gas company with exploration, appraisal, and development assets in the Dutch, German, and Danish North Sea.
Discover says Hansa’s portfolio, which includes the recent NO5-A gas find in the GEms area on the Dutch/German median line, will transform it into a fully-funded, full-cycle upstream oil and gas company with exploration, appraisal, and development assets across Europe, Africa, and Australasia.
It plans to transfer operatorship of the licenses covering the GEms area to Oranje-Nassau Energie.
