Tiger strengthens Middle East oilfield equipment offering
Tiger Offshore Rentals has acquired Rigzone Mechanical Equipment and its manufacturing complex and fleet of offshore cargo carrying units in the UAE.
ABU DHABI, UAE – Tiger Offshore Rentals has acquired Rigzone Mechanical Equipment and its manufacturing complex and fleet of offshore cargo carrying units (CCUs) in the UAE.
Rigzone provides DNV 2.7-1-certified CCUS, long baskets, frac, storage and mixing tanks, and assorted power and air equipment.
The manufacturing facility makes fire-rated offshore A60 buildings and other Zone 1 and 2 hazardous area oilfield items.
“This acquisition is yet another sign of Tiger’s commitment to the offshore industry that we believe is challenged by under-investment,” said William Drost, Tiger Offshore Rental’s General Manager.
“Rigzone’s strong position in the UAE is an outstanding compliment to Tiger’s already leading presence in the Middle East. We were most attracted to the outstanding reputation that Rigzone has with leading oilfield service companies and, for this reason, we have retained the services of Rigzone’s founder, Saleem Syed.”
Tiger Offshore provides specialty transport tanks and logistics equipment rental to the offshore oil and gas industry, for transporting, storage and processing of drilling fluids, liquids, waste, tools, refrigerated goods, and dry goods.
Its fleet and services include CCUs, baskets, boxes, containers, tanks and vessels, slings and rigging, mixing units, mud tank packages, mats, rotating equipment, automated tank cleaning and waste treatment.
