SCHIEDAM, the Netherlands – Seafox has contracted Hatenboer-Water to provide two reverse osmosis (RO) water maker systems.
These will desalinate seawater into potable water on the four-legged, self-elevating jackup platformSeafox 7, used for accommodation, construction, maintenance and well services.
This is specifically designed for harsh offshore conditions and operates in water depths of up to 40 m (131 ft), with accommodation onboard for 113 personnel.
The Oceanus ROs can deliver up to 30 cu m/d (1,059 cu ft/d) of fresh drinking water.
