Carbon-fiber composite pipe manufacturer Magma Global announced a joint initiative with Equinor at ONS this week to qualify an all-Magma solution for jumpers.

STAVANGER, Norway – Carbon-fiber composite pipe manufacturer Magma Global announced a joint initiative with Equinor at ONS this week to qualify an all-Magma solution for jumpers.
This is initially envisaged for use offshore Norway.
Charles Tavner, COO at Magma Global, said: “There is no doubt in our minds that the future subsea infrastructure will be dominated by carbon-fiber composites. We have seen acceptance of this from large contractors, each developing their own solution using m-pipe, which is a natural adoption path.
“This initiative will fast forward the delivery of an all-Magma solution, thanks to funding support from Innovate UK and Equinor’s vision and understanding of how they can best use available technologies.”
