Capco Energy, Inc. has acquired a 90% working interest in Brazos field, offshore Matagorda County, Texas, from Dominion and others. The company will become the operator of 31 wells in the field with the inclusion of an earlier acquisition.

Three wells are on-line in the Brazos field producing 2.5 MMcf/d. Ten other wells will be producing by Sept. 30, 2004 and the balance of the wells are being evaluating for additional potential.

"The Company now has a strong technical team to evaluate, operate and acquire wells in known fields where there are remaining reserves to be produced," said Ilyas Chaudhary, CEO of Capco. "This acquisition is a part of this grander plan of the company."
