Keppel secures S$172 million contracts

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd. has secured S$172 million worth of contracts through its wholly owned subsidiaries, Keppel Singmarine Ltd. and AMFELS in the US.

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd. has secured S$172 million worth of contracts through its wholly owned subsidiaries, Keppel Singmarine Ltd. and AMFELS in the US.

Keppel Singmarine will build four anchor-handling tug/supply (AHTS) vessels for Groupe Bourbon and four harbor tugs for Keppel Smit Towage.

Keppel will deliver the eight vessels progressively between 3Q 2004 and1Q 2006.

Meanwhile, Keppel O&M's yard in the US, AMFELS, won a contract to upgrade a jackup rig for Ensco Offshore Co.

Scheduled for delivery in 4Q 2004, AMFELS will convertEnsco 68 from a slot to cantilever jackup, with leg extension and capability enhancement.
