Aqualis to conduct human factors analyses for projects offshore Norway

Aibel has contracted Aqualis Offshore to conduct human factors analyses for some of its ongoing projects on the Norwegian continental shelf.

OSLO, NorwayAibel has contracted Aqualis Offshore to conduct human factors analyses for some of its ongoing projects on the Norwegian continental shelf.

Under the contract, Aqualis Offshore’s risk management specialists will conduct human factors analyses of Aibel’s work on theSnorre expansion project, the Dvalin project, and the Oseberg Vestflanken 2 project. Contract value is undisclosed.

Bjørn Håvard Brænden, director – Norway & Europe, Aqualis Offshore, said: “Essentially, we will cover the end-user perspective throughout engineering and suggest changes where we see that there is room for misunderstanding or improvement. These are highly effective methods of reducing operational risk and removing as many potential safety critical operator errors as possible.”

Its Norwegian operation will execute the work.
