TTS snaps up Sense

KRISTIANSAND, Norway --TTS Marine is buying Norwegian drilling package supplier Sense EDM for $87.94 million. TTS, a maritime equipment provider, sought to increase its presence in the drilling and offshore sectors.

Sense EDM is based in Kristiansand, with branches in Stavanger and Edmonton, Canada. It employs 150 personnel, and had a turnover last year of $63.49 million. The acquisition will allow TTS to supply complete deliveries of drilling, deck equipment and cranes to fixed and floating rigs.
