LYSAKER, Norway --Aker Kvaerner plans to open its new Houston facility tomorrow, Wednesday, April 25. The site will include support for drilling equipment, well intervention technology, and subsea systems. It will assemble and test Aker Kvaerner's Gulf of Mexico equipment.
The facility also has laboratories for assembly of electronic and hydraulic technology, pressure testing for ultra deepwater applications, and a pit for underwater testing of deepwater trees and pumps.
